Roundtree Selected As Replacement Chief Judge

Martha Ann Lott resigned last week as the chief judge for the Eighth Circuit.  Lott, who had been chief judge since July 2009, resigned her post on Thursday [April 5], but did not give a reason why, court administrator Ted McFetridge said. The other circuit judges selected Robert E. Roundtree Jr. as her replacement. Lott, who currently hears civil and domestic court cases in Alachua and Union counties, will remain a circuit judge, McFetridge said. Her term was slated to end on June 30, 2013. Roundtree has been a judge in the Eighth Circuit since 2002 and now handles civil and domestic cases in Gilchrist and Levy counties.  (Read Full Article Here)
